Please bear with us! Due to a current increase in demand on some relevant lines caused by the current pandemic - along with a shortage on delivery drivers (as many are self isolating), deliveries may take longer than usual. Please allow up to 48 hours before contacting us.

Delivery Policy

Subject to stock availability orders will be processed the same working day if placed before 17:15 (Monday - Friday). Orders placed after this time and on weekends or public holidays will be processed the next working day (Monday – Friday).

Delivery times are between 8:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). All deliveries must be signed for and the number of parcels must be checked at receipt of order. Any disputes regarding damaged goods or packages or shortages should be noted at the time of receipt and reported to our customer services team within 3 working days of delivery. Standard delivery is next working day where available.

We deliver to all mainland UK postcodes. We also deliver to Scottish Islands, Isles of Scilly and Isle of Man, although we cannot guarantee a next day service in these locations. Please note we do not deliver to the Channel Islands or PO Box addresses.

If you pay for guaranteed next working delivery and your order fails to arrive we will refund your delivery charge. This excludes items that are out of stock at time of order and items not covered by our standard delivery service. 

*Please note we are unable to offer a next day delivery to some UK locations (e.g Aberdeen).

Certain items such as furniture, chairs, safes and some electrical equipment are not covered by our standard delivery policy and may incur additional charges. Products that do not qualify for our standard delivery service will be indicated on the item product page of our website and will be subject to additional delivery charges as indicated. These charges are also detailed in our Delivery Policy.

Office Furniture delivery

We use a specialist furniture logistics company for all furniture orders and endeavor to deliver all stock available items within 2-3 working days. Our standard office furniture delivery service is to kerbside/warehouse only and advise you contact us first to discuss other options if this is not suitable before placing your order. In addition we can offer a more tailored service with the Delivery & Installation service.  Two man delivery teams will deliver and install the furniture in the end-users specified room of choice, also removing the waste packaging when the job is done. Customers can specify a day of choice for this delivery option. Normal lead time being 5 - 10 days for this service.

Office Chairs & Small Furniture delivery

Delivery – 1-2 working days

Delivery only = FREE

We use a specialist logistics company for all our office chair and furniture orders and endeavor to deliver all stock available items within 2-3 working days. Our standard chair and furniture delivery service is to kerbside/warehouse only and advise you contact us first to discuss other options if this is not suitable before placing your order. Some office chairs and furniture items are self-assembly but please ask for further details when placing your order as we can deliver some items ready installed or schedule a two man delivery service for your your order to be installed on site at an agreed day and time.

Security & Fire Safes

Delivery – 7-14 working days

Delivery to ground floor only = Free of charge

We offer a free delivery for fire and security safes to the ground floor only if there is no access restrictions (e.g. times, steps, door size, etc). If delivery is required to a different floor or delivery restrictions apply please contact us before placing your order as there may be an additional charge.

Damaged Items / Picking Errors / Shortages / Additional Items

Damaged items, picking errors or shortages on an order must be reported to us within 3 working days of receipt of the delivery. We are unable to replace, exchange or provide a credit for any claims made after this period. You must also ensure that we are informed of any additional items supplied in error or in excess of your order. These items will be collected (at our cost) and must be returned as new, in a resalable condition in their original unmarked packaging. We reserve the right to charge you for any goods delivered in error, where you have not followed these conditions.

Faulty Goods

Returns Information

RETURNS POLICY

If you are not completely satisfied with the item(s) you have received and would like to return or exchange an item or items you must notify us within 14 days of receipt by telephone or email. The item(s) must be in a resalable condition and in its original packaging. We are unable to accept goods for return if the original sealed packaging has been split or opened. Smart Business Supplies is not responsible for paying return shipment costs.

In some instances we may be able to accept returns for items within 28 days of receipt, however these items will incur a restocking fee. Please contact our customer service team for further details.

If goods are refused by the buyer or our carriers have attempted to make delivery on more than 2 occasions with no success the goods will be returned to us and we will refund the order less the cost of the delivery and any return charges we have incurred.

Please note refunds are made exclusive of any delivery charges unless you are returning your whole order.

*Please note we don't accept returns that are sent to us directly as our warehouse is located in a different location to our offices. All returns have to be agreed with us first and confirmed by email and must be collected by our courier from the same address the goods were delivered to.

ITEM(S) NO LONGER REQUIRED

If you would like make a return for goods no longer required please call us on 01372 365 930 or email us using the 'Contact' page on our website with the reason for return, your original order number, the details of the product for return and the quantity. We will arrange for the goods to be collected from you directly at a cost of £5.50 (+Vat) by secure courier. We do not offer the option for you to send goods back to us as our warehouse is in a different location to our office.

* Please note some items listed on our website are non-returnable, details of which are indicated on the product page of each item under the Additional Product Details tab under "Returns Allowed - Yes/No".

* Please note that once installed our furniture is non refundable unless faulty.

FOOD / BEVERAGES / HYGIENE

Due to health and safety reasons we are unable to accept returns on any food or drink items including biscuits, sweets, headphones, coffee and water etc.

COVID-19 & PPE (PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT - FACE MASKS, APRONS ETC.)

Any PPE equipment and a selection of cleaning products and equipment that are shown on the product page of our website as non-returnable (e.g masks, Spray etc.) may in some instances and at our discretion be eligible for return. In these circumstances, a 30% restocking fee will apply in addition to the £5.50 (+ vat) collection charge. These products must be returned in perfect condition, unopened and with all protective packaging intact with no protective seals damaged or broken.

PERISHABLES

Returns can only be accepted on perishable items if you have received the goods in a faulty condition, and on sealed items (for example, printer cartridges, computer software or backup media), if they have not been unsealed.

BUSINESS MACHINES & ELECTRICALS

Business machines and electrical goods cannot be returned once the item(s) box has been opened. Only goods which are faulty or damaged upon receipt can be returned once they have been opened.

FURNITURE & CHAIRS

Any furniture items, including chairs and storage which are no longer required will incur a 35% restocking fee. This fee will be deducted when your refund is processed.

DATED PRODUCTS

In addition to our standard terms detailed above, any dated products like diaries and planners that are no longer required cannot be returned after 30th November of the year previous to the year to which such dated product relates.
